Beginning Sunday, October 11, Claribel Road will be closed between Roselle Avenue and Claus Road for construction of the new Claribel Road alignment.
Closing Claribel at this point in the project gives us an opportunity to complete this phase several months sooner and significantly reduce project costs.
We know Claribel is a heavily traveled road, and we recognize the impact this closure will have on the community. Please plan ahead and use the detour via Sylvan Avenue and Oakdale, Claus, and Patterson Roads. Emergency vehicles will not have access through the closure area.

Roselle Avenue between Claribel Road and Plainview Road will reopen to traffic on Monday, August 17, 2026
Roselle Avenue between Claribel Road and Plainview Road will reopen to traffic on Monday, August 17, 2026, ahead of its original schedule, a milestone for the North County Corridor (NCC) Project that the county is excited to celebrate with the community.
The road will reopen with one lane open in each direction and a posted speed limit of 25 mph, with a stop sign remaining at Plainview Road and K-rail barriers remaining in place under the falsework section for driver safety. As construction continues along the corridor, drivers should expect intermittent closures for upcoming work, and updates will be posted as they are confirmed.

Construction has started! Open in 2028!
We apologize for the inconvenience. Expect delays in and around the construction zone.
